How AG report forced Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun to resign

The embattled Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun has been reported to have resigned her appointment.

Adeosun's action was said to ha e been propelled by the report of the Attorney-General of the federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami over her controversial National Youth Service Corps.

PLATFORM TIMES could not get the report as at the time of filing this report, but, a source said the report recommended that the minister should tender her resignation to avoid further embarrassment of the Federal government.

PLATFORM TIMES further gathered that the AG was asked to make his recommendation as a legal adviser of the federation on the issue of certificate forgery.

Adeosun had been sued by various groups over the certificate scandal few days after the report hit the ground that she did not participate in the NYSC Compulsory service and that the NYSC discharge certificate she was using was forged

PLATFORM TIMES learnt that Adeosun who was nominates by her state governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun on Thursday threw in the towel to put to rest the legal battle between her and many aggrieved groups.

It was however, not confirmed whether Adeosun will be arrested and prosecuted or not after her resignation.

It was also not confirmed if the Federal government has accepted the letter, but, the body language at the Aso Rock indicated that she may be allowed to go home after her inconclusive meritorious service.
