Traders including ram sellers in Abeokuta , Ogun State capital have lamented over low sales as Ileya festival approaches in just five  days time ,blaming government  for refusing to make fund available for them, to improve their  lives out of the current economic recession.

Platform Times gathered that the traders in Kuto market are experiencing low sales at their various trading stores.

Speaking with our correspondents, many traders who spoke complained on  poor market activities ,saying, there is no sign of the festival.

According to a ram seller ,mr Oyekunle Olaniyi ‘people don’t feed now ,based on  their  income,it only takes the grace of God, and what is happening in Nigeria now is caused by government  because civil servants are not  getting  their remuneration as at when due, meanwhile civil servants are our major customers’

Mrs Fasasi who is also a trader   in the market also added that consideration  from government is not circulating down to local level.

Traders however urged  government to assist by paying workers  their salaries as at when due, and also make fund available to nooks and crannies  to ensure good living.
