Fear grips Ogun residents as Lagos records two cases of Monkey Pox

Palpable fear has gripped residents of  Ogun state as  two suspected cases of Monkey Pox have been reported in Lagos State.

Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, who disclosed this during a news conference said that the two suspected cases were recorded in a private hospital which he did not disclosed its name.

Following the outbreak of the deadly virus ,many residents who live  in Lagos and its neighbouring States,especially Ogun state expressed fear over possible out break in Ogun.

Many people who spoke with PLATFORM TIMES said their fear was hinged on the previous cases of deadly virus such as Ebola and Lasa fever which were 'imported' from Lagos .
