The Ogun Central senatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon Titi-Oseni Gomez has denied alleged defection to the All Progressive Congress (APC) ahead of the governorship and House of Assembly elections scheduled for March 9.

This was contained in a statement signed by her media aid, Tayo Joseph on Wednesday.

Hon Gomez also denied working for the state’s governorship candidate of the APC Prince Dapo Abiodun against her party’s candidate, Gboyega Isiaka.

It should be recalled that Hon. Gomez lost the Ogun Central senatorial contest to Governor Ibikunle Amosun in last Saturday’s election.

After she lost the election, it was heard from the grapevine that Hon. Gomez has defected to the ruling APC and has started working for the APC governorship candidate Dapo Abiodun.

Mr Joseph who denied the rumour on behalf of his principal said Hon Gomez is a loyal member of the ADC and would work for the success of the party in the coming governorship election.

He described those spreading the rumour as “callous individuals that derive joy in maligning people’s character.”

He continued, “The ADC senatorial candidate in Ogun central has always been a loyal party person unlike some political prostitute, she dumped her former party PDP due to infighting in the party. She has invested so much in the Party where she contested and lost to high tech rigging machine of Amosun to come second.

“Rumour carriers should use the same energy to concentrate on the forthcoming election”.
