The governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement in Ogun State, Abdulkabir Akinlade has said his good intention to serve the State will help him win the governorship poll on Saturday.
Akinlade made this known on Tuesday during his endorsement by the Arewa-Fulani community in the State.
Akinlade who was welcomed by the Seriki Arewa of Egba land, Alhaji Hassan Hassan, Seriki Arewa of Yewa land, Alhaji Umar Muhammad Nanado and Seriki Arewa of Ijebu land, Alhaji Yahaya Hawal.
Others include, Seriki Fulani in Ogun State, Alhaji Muhammad Kabir and Seriki of Remo/Sagamu, Ibrahim Adini.
His word, “I welcome you all, the great Seriki’s here, I want to say a big thank you for the love that you have shown to me and our leader, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
“I know that your love for Senator Ibikunle Amosun is what am enjoying and come March 9 we all should come out in mass to vote APM
“I said it in Mecca during the last Umurah, that if my intention are not good for the people of Ogun state, I should not emerged nor win.
“Just like it is said in the Hadith if you will win, there must be hindrance and Challenges but our steadfastness and believe in only one God will see us through.
“Our believe has taken us to where we are today and I believe that wish I have beg from Almighty Allah will come to pass, no matter the delay, no matter the hindrance.
“For our national chairman to be here with us, for our brothers to be here I believe our dreams will come to reality, I appeal to you all to come out in mass with your PVC and vote for me”.
However, Akinlade promised the Arewa-Fulani community the dividend of democracy and participation in his administration.
“This government will be our government, we will all be involve, no matter who you are either you are a Nupe, Fulani, Hausa man we will all participate and enjoy the dividend of democracy.
“You will be able to transact all your business, relate and carry out your business without fear or any form of discrimination, your children will be able to go to school and I also assure you of great involvement in our administration.
“My administration will appoint the Hausa, Fulani as special assistance, special adviser, senior special adviser and other appointments for you to be involved in my administration.
“I want to plead with you that so much have been said, so much have been done, this is Ogun State when we came in 2011 we know what Ogun State was, a lot of businesses were already down, people were running away from the state due to security reasons.
“Even the capital city, Abeokuta has no road, the state was down in terms of infrastructural, in just eight years you can see what we have achieved, some states for the past fifty to sixty years cannot stand what we have in Ogun state today” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the Arewa-Fulani community, Seriki Arewa of Egba land, Alhaji Hassan Hassan, said the community has found Akinlade as the most qualified governorship candidate in the state, promising that the community will deliver Akinlade.
“We are here to endorse Akinlade as our next governor. He is the most qualified among the candidates, We have meet with all candidates and no one is as qualified as Akinlade.
“We don’t want Amosun’s project to stop, we chose Akinlade to ensure that the projects continue, I can’t say the number of votes Akinlade will get from the Hausa/ Fulani community because we are very many but we all will surely vote for him.
