Residents living in Ogun East and Central senatorial districts of the state have trouped out en mass to elect new leaders in the ongoing governorship and state Assembly elections.
During a visit to many wards in the area, PLATFORM TIMES observed that many of the voters have started exercising their Francine as early as 8 am.
At Ward 14 unit 15 in Awolowo market in Sagamu Local government area, long queues were sighted.
The presiding officer, Lawal Yusuf claimed that himself and other ad hoc staff arrived at the polling station around 6 am.
However, voting started exactly 8 am and card readers were working perfectly.
Also, a visit to Ward 12 unit 7 Isote, in Sagamu Local government, PLATFORM TIMES observed that voting has also started in the polling station.
The presiding officer, Abbey Samson also said voting started around 8:30 am.
He added that the official got to the polling station around 7:30 am.
In Abeokuta area of Of Ogun central, as early as 8:00 am voted were spotted already queuing at their various polling booths.
At Ward 11, polling units 22 at Totoro, where the former President Olusegun Obasanjo will be casting his vote, voting started there at exactly 8:00 am
Also at Nawarudeen road, voters are also seen at their different polling units.
Reports from different Presiding officers in the senatorial district has it that the card readers are working perfectly.
