BREAKING: Abiodun in clear lead, Tops with 39,000 votes in Ogun

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dapo Abiodun is currently leading Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement with over 39,480 votes.

Out of the 15 already announced local governments by the electoral umpire, the APC flag bearer has won 11.

Meanwhile, there are 20 local government areas in Ogun state.

The results released at the governorship election collation centre at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters, Magbon, Abeokuta and presided over by the Ogun State Collation Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Prof. Joseph Afuwape showed that Abiodun polled the highest number of votes in Ijebu Ode, Sagamu, Ijebu North East, Odeda, Obafemi-Owode, Abeokuta North, Ikenne.

Others also include; Abeokuta South, Odogboolu and Ogun Waterside.

Akinlade as well won in Egbado South and Ewekoro local government areas while Gboyega Isiaka of the African Democratic Congress won in Imeko-Afon local government.

As at 4:41, the 15 announced results shows that APC has polled 169,984 votes while APM also polled130,504 votes trailing with a wide margin of 39,480 votes
