The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and its gubernatorial candidate, Adekunle Akinlade has rejected the ongoing election results being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Director General of the APM Campaign organisation, Sarafa Ishola who spoke alongside Akinlade at the party’s secretariat at Leme, Abeokuta alleged that the gubernatorial election which began peacefully on Saturday was allegedly hijacked by hoodlums and “unidentified unform men” during the collation stage, and further manipulated the results in favour of APC.

He said the APM had petition INEC in the state to investigate the “infractions” and stop the announcement of the results forthwith.

Ishola said the APM rejects the results as being announced, declaring that “it was hijacked, compromised and did not reflect the true wishes of Ogun people.”

“The people of Ogun state has been raped”, Akinlade declared, saying all legal means to undo the alleged injustice will be taken.
