Amosun never offended me – Dapo Abiodun

The governor-elect in Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has said that the outgoing governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun never offended him, despite the objection and ill-treatment meted out to him in the course of his Governorship ambition.

The governor-elect while addressing newsmen, in his maiden victory speech, held at his Iperu-Remo country home, in Ikenne local government area of the state claimed anger doesn’t have any place in his heart.

He stressed that he had neither exhibited any form of anger nor say anything negative, despite all forms of humiliation he allegedly suffered during his electioneering.

He said “It is important to note that, I hold no grudge against Amosun.

” But, all I am concerned about is what I have in stock to offer the good people of Ogun state.

“Anger doesn’t have a place in my heart. The issue at stake is not about Amosun or Dapo Abiodun, but about the generality of the people”.

The governor-elect also maintained that it would be premature for his administration to embark on pricing of Amosun’s administration when there are other issues to tackle.

He said what he is after was to hit the ground running, by setting up a transition committee, the implementation of his policy documents, among others.

He said “I have learned a lot of lessons from the experience. If you are humble and resilient you would overcome any challenges.

“Ogun State is well blessed with resources heavily deposited across the state. We shall explore these resource in the overall interest of our people.
“We will run a government of all and for all. A government that will be fair and equitable in the spread of infrastructural development goal across the state.

“We shall place a premium on human capital development of the generality of our people, including workers and civil servants. For us, our people shall be first in governance”.
