Hundreds of job seekers in Ogun state who visited the job website created by the Ogun State government for documentation and possible employment has expressed anger at the government over their inability to access the portal.
The government, sequel to it promise on Wednesday directed interested applicants to visit the website and register online with a view to providing them jobs suitable for their trade and academic qualifications.
But large number of the applicants who visited the website on the address -http://www.iseya.ng/public had publicly complained of the inability to continue the registration.
According to Hamdalat Oseni, a graduate of computer science from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, noted that, as soon as she finished registering her job description, the server denied her access to continue on the next step of submitting her curriculum vitae.
Another applicant Adeyemi Obadara commended the initiative of the state government, but urged them to restore the technical issues to restore the confidence of the masses on the new government.
“Well, I was able to filled my name, local government and job description, but when the server directed to input my curriculum vitae and other information about me, it returned back to the home page.
“The government should not make this another failed project and make it more accessible to majority of us seeking employment. They should not make the employment as compensation for their party men, but rather ensure it cut across all and sundry.”
Meanwhile, the state government has assured applicants its resolved to restore the technical hitch.
Reacting to the development, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Kunle Somorin said the government is aware of the difficulties experienced by the job applicants.
Somorin explained that, the inability to access the portal was a temporary situation, as the government is working to find solution to it.
He said, “It is a temporary thing. It’s work in progress we have been receiving complaints, but if they are having technical difficulties in opening the website, they should exercise patience, we shall find solution to it soon.
