Ogun rep member, Adekoya, mourns colleague

The Deputy Minority Whip, at the federal House of Representatives,representing Ijebu-North / Ijebu-East / Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency Hon. Adekoya Abdel-Majid has expressed shock over a sudden death of a colleague at the national assembly.

The deceased Hon. Jafa’aru Auna of Rijau/Magama Federal Constituency of Niger State; passed on, on Monday morning after a brief illness.

While expressing his condolence, Abdel-Majid popularly known as ‘attacker’ described the late Jafa’aru as a hardworking, energetic, highly committed and focused member who shunned ethno-religious biases during his lifetime.

This was contained in a press release signed by a Senior Legislative Aide
to Abdel-Majid, Wale Adenaya, and made available to journalists on Tuesday evening.

According to the release, His loss will no doubt leave a huge vacuum among other colleagues.

The release reads in part, “The Deputy Minority Whip commiserates with the Leadership of the House of Representatives, Honourable members, the government and people of Niger state, and in particular the good people of Rijau/Magama Federal Constituency.

“He wishes the members of his immediate family, especially his wife, the fortitude to bear the loss.

“Allah bless him in death and hereafter. May he be among the inmates of Aljahnatu fridaus.”.
