Police rescue kidnapped Corps member in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has rescued a corps member, Faith Onyiwara, who was kidnapped around Ilamija, in the Epe area of Lagos State.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state in a statement on Tuesday said the operation was coordinated by the State Commissioner of Police Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu.

He said, the kidnappers ring leader, Moses Ofeye was arrested with gun wounds during the operation.

He added that no ransom was paid to the kidnappers.

According to reports, the youth corps member was abducted on her way to attend her CDS meeting.

The abductors had demanded a ransom of fifty million naira but later reduced it to four hundred thousand naira.
