Covid-19: FPI Ilaro commences online classroom

The Management of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro has announced the intention of the Polytechnic to allow its students study through the use of what it called an ‘Internet classroom’.

The Deputy Registrar, Public Relations Sola Abiala disclosed this in a statement sent to PLATFORM TIMES on Tuesday.

Abiala noted that the internet classroom will allow students of the institution have access to their lecturers and reading materials through the use of the internet.

He urged students of the institution to visit the polytechnic website from Monday, 30th March ,for details on how to use the online classroom.

Abiala assured that the management of the polytechnic will continue to prioritise the academics of its students.

The statement reads “In view of the global pandemic, Coronavirus (COVID–19), ravaging the planet earth and as part of our efforts to maintain the academic stability we are known for, the Management of this institution has approved for immediate implementation, the E-Leaning (Google Classroom) for all the students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.

“The new learning method is an online application based system that allows students to have regular access to their lecturers as well as reading materials to update their knowledge.

“All students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro are hereby enjoined to visit the Polytechnic website, www.federalpolytechnicilaro.edu.ng from Monday, 30th March, 2020 for details on how to use this application without any further delay.

“Parents and guardians are also admonished to ensure that their children or wards get this online application and make use of same as required.

“We also wish to assure the public that the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro would continue to make the academic interest of our students a priority from time to time”.
