The Chairman of Labour Party in Ogun state, Com. Abayomi Arabambi, has dismissed his purported suspension as chairman of the party , describing it as a child’s play.
The party Chairman claimed that aside being poorly written, the Press statement was signed by a non Labour Party member.
Arabambi, while reacting to the suspension over the telephone told PLATFIRM TIMES that the move is ‘Dead On Arrival’.
Arabambi who claimed to understand the reasons for such move accused the former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Ladi Adebutu as the mastermind of the move which he described as ‘ unintelligent ‘ to oust him as the party chairman in the state.
Arabambi added that such petty moves could do nothing to his control as the party Chairman adding Adebutu is a political kid.
He however called on the members of the public to discountenance any rumour of his suspension.
His words, ” it is shameful for anyone to call for the suspension of any noble party Chairman on a piece of paper even when the release was badly written.
“For us in Labour Party we remained unperturbed but it is necessary for us to respond for posterity sake. Although I understand the political game which isn’t properly executed as a result of their stunted knowledge of politics.
” Well, I understand that Hon. Ladi Adebutu is behind this, all because I refused to meet with him as requested barely two weeks ago. But instead of making political mistakes he should submit himself for more tutelage on the workings of politics especially in Ogun state.
” To help him, I want to appeal to the Governor, Dapo Abiodun in his magnanimity to appoint Ladi Adebutu as an SSA on opposition political parties to help him learn human relations and how best to exhibit good attitudes and as well as politics .
“This appointment will also help Adebutu to learn politics before venturing into it again “.
But, PLATFORM TIMES could not get through to Adebutu as of the time of filing this report .
His aides too could not be reached for comments and reactions .
