Amosun gives Abiodun N25 million to fight coronavirus

Former Governor of Ogun state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has donated N25 million to the state government as a personal contribution in the fight against coronavirus in the state.

The former governor in a letter dated 31st of March, 2020 said the donation is a personal contribution for the management of COVID-19 in the state.  

Amosun further said that, he is ready to assist no fewer than 25,000 households across the state. 

The former governor also said he is in constant contact with some federal agencies  with a view of assisting the residents of the state in this trying times.  

The Senator representing Ogun central senatorial district however expressed readiness to support the state government in combating the spread of the pandemic disease in the state.  

The letter reads partly, “please be notified  that the sum of N25 million  has been transferred and cleared into Access bank account number: 1384210113 Ogun state coalition against COVID-19 as my personal contribution for the management of COVID-19 challenges in Ogun state.  

“I am also in contact touch with federal agencies in and outside Ogun state with a view to offering maximum assistance to our people in this trying times.  

“In addition, arrangement are also in place to assist in ameliorating the challenges  arising from the COVID-19 lockdown within this period by supporting 25,000 households across the state.”
