The Management of Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority has pledged to drill boreholes for residents in the vulnerable communities across Ogun State.
The Managing Director of O-ORBDA, Olufemi Odumosu disclosed this on Thursday while handing over food items to Ogun the state government.
Odumosu said the gesture was to support the effort of the state government in fighting the spread of Coronavirus in the State.
The Director noted that the agency also supported the state government with, 200 crates of eggs, 1,000 bags of O-ORBDA drinking water, 100 cartons of O-ORBDA table water and 50 bags of 5kg O-ORBDA refined garri products.
Odumosu expressed appreciation to medical personel and other stakeholders combating the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
He said “In the vulnerable communities, it depends on the state government, they will give us communities that have been identified as being vulnerable.
“This Covid-19 issue requires preventive measures of handwashing and if there is no water, we can’t do much. So, places where they are vulnerable and they don’t have water it will be easier to drill a borehole for them.
“We will try as much as possible to meet the vulnerable which we can access , especially in isolation centers , I think there are two as at now in Ogun state, we can easily put one borehole”.
