The Ogun state House of Assembly has appealed to property owners, especially landlords to consider giving succor to tenants through slashing of rent or outright exclusion of rents for three months during the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the speaker of the state assembly, Kunle Oluomo made the appeal during a plenary on Wednesday.
PLATFORM TIMES further reports that Oluomo urged banks and other financial institutions to grant loan repayment holiday to operators of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises so as to ease the effect of the lockdown on their finances and business activities during the pandemic period.
The speaker also admonished the people to adhere strictly to laid down measures at reducing the spread of the virus in the state.
