The governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun has extended his congratulatory message to the newly appointed Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that Gambari’s appointment was confirmed by the presidency today even though it had been reported in some news outlets since yesterday.
Abiodun in the congratulatory message signed by his Press secretary, Kunle Somorin, opined that Gambari’s appointment would bolster governance in the country.
Citing Gambari’s “reputation for achievements in the many positions of responsibility he has occupied”, Abidoun argued that the new chief of staff to the president is a “square peg in a square hole.”
The governor said, “On behalf of my family, the Government and People of Ogun State, I congratulate Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari on his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR as the Chief of Staff to the President.
“The appointment could not have come at a better time, especially as the Nation fights a public health crisis.
“I am particularly delighted in President Buhari’s choice of Prof. Gambari, as I am certain that Nigeria and the people will enjoy the gains of the experience so far garnered by the Professor in the field.
“One cannot have much to say about Nigeria’s history of dealing with other countries, especially the United Nations and the Africa Union, without mentioning twice in a minute, Prof. Gambari’s name and achievements.”
Governor Abiodun prayed to the Almighty Allah (SWT) to bless Prof. Ibrahim Gambari with the divine wisdom to carry out his duties for the collective benefit of the Nigerian people.
Said Governor Abiodun: “I pray to Almighty Allah (SWT) to bestow upon you the wisdom to advance the pursuance of the Change dream of Mr President, which is our collective vision for a greater Nigeria.”
