Tolu Odebiyi to feed 2,000 families in Ogun West

The senator representing Ogun west senatorial district, Tolu Odebiyi has provided palliatives in form of food items to members of his constituency, with about two thousand families benefiting from the gesture.

PLATFORM TIMES reports that this was revealed in a statement signed by the media office of the senator.

The statement revealed that the provision of food items by the former Chief of Staff in the state, was to “cushion the economic effects” of the pandemic Covid-19 on members of his constituency.

It was also stated that 2,000 families would get food items which include 10kg of rice, 10kg of cassava flakes (gari), and boxes of noddles.

Odebiyi, who was quoted in the statement, said, “in view of the measures already taken to further stem the incursion of Covid-19 in Ogun State and to ameliorate its negative effects, food items such as large amount of well packaged 10kg rice, 10kg gari, boxes of noddles will be disbursed to two thousand (2,000) families in Ogun West, being part of my efforts to ameliorate problems associated with the pandemic in Ogun West Senatorial District.”

Odebiyi also hailed the state government for its effort in combating the virus in the state.
