The governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun has maintained that the survival of COVID-19 has become personal responsibility of the residents of the state that must be taken with seriousness.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that although the governor assured that the government will continue to do what is right for the people, but he stressed the need for the people to take it as responsibility to survive during this pandemic period.
Governor Abiodun said this while addressing newsmen on the update of COVID-19 in the state at the Governor’s Office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
The governor further emphasised the need to join hands so as to flatten the curved of COVID-19 in the state.
He added that his government will continue to provide palliative materials to mitigate the effect of the lockdown on the residents of the state.
According to him, my dear people of Ogun State, let me reassure you all that your Government will continue to do what is right for the general good of all the people of our dear State.
He further said, “but I must also state that, at this time, survival is also a personal responsibility.
“We must join hands to flatten the curved of COVID-19 in our dear Ogun State. As we continue to help ourselves, we must also help one another and help our Government.
“Let me also state that we appreciate the need to continue to mitigate the effects of the lockdown on the people of our dear Ogun State.
“We have continued to do this through the distribution of our palliative materials.”
