Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has advised Muslims to use the lesson learnt in the holy month of Ramadan as a crusade for National rebirth especially during this COVID-19 period.

The former governor in a statement reminded the MUslims not to forget the lessons learnt in penitence, sacrifice, denials, renewal of Faith and rebirth which are the reasons for the Ramadan.

Otunba Daniel also congratulated the MUslims all over the world, Nigeria and Ogun State especially, on the successful completion of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.

The statement reads partly, “As Faithful, and in obedience to one of the five Pillars, Moslems all over the world have been in self denial for the past thirty days; this no doubt is about sacrifice akin to taking a rebirth and renewal of faith. The lessons learnt must however not be lost on all and should be used in crusade for our National rebirth especially in this period when Nigeria, and the rest of the world is undergoing one of its most trying time in history in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Moslems and all men of Faith should use the refreshing moment to pray to Allah to heal our land and direct our leaders on the path of righteousness”.

Otunba Daniel further call on all citizens to follow through on all health guidelines; maintaining physical distancing, hand washing hygiene recommended by both the Federal and State Government towards curtailing the spread of the Corona Virus in our society.
