The Federal Medical Center, Idi-Aba , Abeokuta on Monday evening recorded another two new cases of covid-19.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the head of Public Relations & Information, Segun Orisajo disclosed this in a statement issued and made available to newsmen.
Orisajo said, the two latest cases were adult men.
He explained that, two cases were residents of Ifo and Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Orisajo noted that, the first case was a 36-year-old man who was referred from a private hospital on account of difficulty in breathing and sore throat.
The Hospital Spokesperson maintained that, the 36-year-old man was admitted in the Centre last Thursday and subsequently screened on out- patient basis.
He explained further that the second case was a 46 year old man who presented himself at the Centre last Thursday with fever and difficulty in breathing.
Orisajo however claimed that, the hospital management has made necessary plans to evacuate the victims to the state isolation center.
He said “The results of their samples returned positive few moments ago.
“First was a 36 years old male who resides in Ifo. He was referred from a private hospital on account of difficulty in breathing and sore throat.
“He was admitted in the Centre last Thursday and subsequently screened on out- patient basis.
“The second is a 46 year old male who lives in Ake, Abeokuta.
“He equally presented at the Centre last Thursday with fever and difficulty in breathing.
“Arrangements are being made for their evacuation to the Ogun State Isolation centre for further management”.
