ALL the 101 isolated coronavirus patients in Sokoto State have been discharged, according to Commissioner for Health, Ali Inname.

Fourteen coronavirus related deaths have, however, been recorded in the state so far.

Inname said in Sokoto that since the first index case in the state on April 19, 731 samples had been collected while 655 contacts completed the 14 days of follow-up.

Inname, who doubles as the chairman of the state’s Taskforce Committee on COVID-19, said his committee received 839 alerts from across the state and all of them were investigated.

The patients came from eight local government areas with men constituting 85 per cent of the number of patients.
