NANS urges Ogun govt to reward winner of Global Enterprise Experience Challenge

The National Association of Nigeria Students, Southwest Zone has called on Governor Dapo Abiodun to reward Idris Mustapha, the winner of the 2020 Virtual Global Enterprise Experience Challenge (GEEC).

The Deputy Coordinator of NANS, Southwest Zone, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman made this appeal during a congratulatory visit to the Ikorodu residence of Mustapha and his parent.

Mustapha, a 400 level Biology student of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun alongside his team had defeated over a thousand other contestants of 128 groups across 116 countries of the world in the global challenge held in New Zealand, bringing home the 2020 Tei Kaihau Social Entrepreneur Award.

During the visitation, Uthman congratulated the winner and his team, describing the South West Zone as the center of intellectualism.

He vowed that the student’s body under the leadership of Comrade Kappo Olawale Samuel will continue to take student’s welfarism as its priority.

The student’s body however honored the 2020 GEEC winner with a Gold medal and an Award of Excellence.

He said ” We challenge the Executive Governor of Ogun State Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun MFR, the students-friendly Governor whose state hosts Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu Ode where Idris Mustapha is a student to personally recognise and reward this feat to encourage greater breakthroughs and achievements to come for the Gateway State”.
