Ondo State Government denied shutting down its Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) where COVID-19 patients are treated.
It also denied online report that COVID-19 patients were sent home over striking doctors at the hospital.
Some doctors at the IDH under the auspices of the National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP) stopped attending to COVID-19 patients over alleged insensitivity of the State government to their working conditions.
Acting Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, who denied closure of the IDH said other group of doctors were attending to patients.
He said issues raised by the striking doctors were being looked into.
