The Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, FIBAN, Ogun state chapter on Friday honoured the member representing Abeokuta South Federal constituency at the National Assembly, Lanre Edun with Visionary Leadership Award for supporting the association during the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
The association which was led by its Chairman, Comr. Olufemi Omilani paid a courtesy call on Hon. ‘Lanre Edun at his office in Abeokuta so as to appreciate him for giving palliatives to the freelance broadcasters during lockdown.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Omilani thanked the lawmaker for the parliatives given to them during the lockdown, among other things.
He said, “You have done so much for the good people of Abeokuta and its environs, especially the distribution of palliatives to ease hunger during the lockdown, a gesture which was extended to fiban. For these, among other things, we say thank you sir”.
In his response, the lawmaker promised to continue to represent the people of Abeokuta well at the National Assembly.
Edun who was represented by his aide, Mrs. Bola Sunday appreciated the award given to him by the association.
“On behalf of my boss, Hon. Lanre Edun, we want to thank OGUN FIBAN, for this courtesy visit and award presentation. I can assure you that the Honourable appreciates you so much. We will continue to support you at all times”, Sunday said this on Edun’s behalf.
