BREAKING: Private Secondary Schools parents protest against N25,000 COVID-19 test in Ogun

Parents of students in private Secondary Schools in Ogun state on Sunday protested against the payment of N25,000 ordered by the state government for COVID-19 test for their children before their resumption for the Senior Secondary Schools Certificate Examination.

The government had scheduled their resumption for August 4,Tuesday, but gave them the condition to obtain certificate of COVID-19 free test before they could be allowed into their various schools .

PLATFORM TIMES reports that the parents expressed their displeasure over the payment of N25,000 for each private school student before they could be allowed to do the test.

The parents who spoke with PLATFORM TIMES lamented that the payment of N25,000 for COVID-19 test shows the government does not care about its citizens.

They complained that the economic reality in the country has made it difficult to pay such a huge amount of money which they did nit plan for .
