Pastor impregnates, procures abortion for two sisters

The Founder and General Overseer of the Church of Lord, Prophet Ebenezer Ajigbotoluwa has been arrested for impregnating and procuring abortion for two sisters whose name were withheld.

PLATFORMTIMES reports that the pastor started having sexual intercourse with the two sisters when they were leaving with their mother in the church premises.

PLATFORMTIMES learnt that the Pastor procured abortion for the two sisters separately at a private clinic.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi made this known in a statement issued and made available to newsmen on Sunday.

Oyeyemi said, the pastor was arrested after the victim’s mother reported the incident at Lafenwa Police Station. 

He explained that the victim’s mother had earlier suffered a spiritual attack and was taken to the church for spiritual healing before the pastor ordered her to move all family members into the church premises in other to avoid being afflicted with the same sickness.

The police spokesperson noted that the pastor also defrauded the family of N2 million which he claimed it was meant for spiritual cleansing.

The statement partly reads “The suspect was arrested following a report by the mother of the victims who reported at lafenwa police station that she fell sick sometimes in 2018 and was taken the church for spiritual healing. 

“She stated further that the pastor took advantage of her sickness and asked her entire family of six to move into the church premises to avoid being afflicted with the same sickness. There and then, the prophet started having sex with her daughters of 16years and 13 years of age unknown to her.  

“The pastor impregnated the two under age girls and went on to procure abortion for them in a private clinic. 

“Aside from this, the prophet also defrauded the family of #2 million naira cash which he took for what he called spiritual cleansing.

“Upon the report, the DPO Lafenwa division CSP Muraina Ayilara led his men to the church but the place has been deserted. 

“The CP then directed that the suspect be hunted for and brought to book.  In compliance with the CP,s directive, the DPO and his men embarked on intelligence and technical based investigation, and their efforts paid off when the prophet was arrested on  the 6th of August 2020 at about 5 am”. 

Oyeyemi added that the pastor confessed to the crime , saying he flee his residence because he was guilty.

The PPRO said, assorted dangerous charms were recovered from the pastor’s apartment.

He said “On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of most of the allegations leveled against him and that it was the reason why he ran away when he heard that police are looking for him.  Recovered from his home are assorted dangerous charms”.

Meanwhile, the commissioner of police Edward Ajogun has ordered the suspect to be transferred to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation. 

The CP warned those hiding under the umbrella of religion to perpetrate evils to desist from it or meet their waterloo.
