Tijaniyat family celebrates Sheikh Niass in Ibadan

Members of the Tijaniyat family on Thursday gathered to celebrate the life of its leader , Sheikh Ahmad Niass, who died last Sunday in Senegal.

The Muslim group who stormed Ibadan , the Oyo state capital from the SouthWest, Edo and Delta states described late Sheikh Niasse as a selfless and dedicated man who served God and mankind.

The president General of the grand assembly for Faedat Tijaniyat in SouthWest, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Salisu Adenekan while speaking at the event held at the central mosque Oja Oba in Ibadan urged Muslim faithfuls to emulate the life of the late leader of Islam who they his followers.

He said, “Sheik Ahmad Tijani Niasse was an embodiment of knowledge, and virtues.

“A staunch lover of Allah and Humanity whose life was no doubt an admirable confluence of religion, morality, selflessness and humanitarianism.

Alhaji Adenekan who console with the Baye Niass family asked God to give the shortcomings of the dead.

Other spiritual leaders at the program prayed for the repose of the late Islamic leader.

Also, a popular Islamic scholar, Abdullateef Adeboye Yahsattah in his sermon at the event urged all Muslim clergy to train their children in the ways of God and follow the tenets of Allah to the letter.
Yahsattah who expressed concern over the wayward attitudes of the children of some clergymen insists that some of the bad deeds were inherited from the father.

In his words, ” Some of our Alfa’s must do as God says and train their children in the way of the Lord, they must not do other side. The reason why some of your children have become bag eggs is because you also have bad attitudes, some children will say what have done, my father does worse that it “

The program was also attended by the Chief Imam of Ibadan, Alhaji Abuhbakar Agbotomokekere
