…says he is not representing Osun people but APC even as a minister

An aspirant during the last gubernatorial election in Osun state under the auspices of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Ayoade Adewopo, has said that never will Osun people experience a rule like that of the former Governor of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
The legal luminary described Aregbesola’s administration as that full of fraud, citing the ‘Opon Imo’ initiative as a means of carting Osun resources to his alleged ‘godfather’ in Lagos state.
Adewopo made this out burst during a radio show tagged Matters arising on Oodua 90.9 FM in Ile Ife, on Thursday.
He said, ” May we never have a government like that of Aregbesola again in Osun state, we told him when he was building those glamorous building he called schools and it is exactly what he did in the state then that he is doing again now as a minister.
“We pray to have better days in the next two years unlike the last eight years. That last eight years, Osun was in a complete mess and that is exactly the thought of many people even on the streets.
” That is why, I said may we never have a government like that of Aregbesola again, he is not representing Osun people but the APC just like he was nominated by them, APC.
” He has to be nominated by the Governor but if not, they did what they did in the APC inner caucus and he was given the minister for interior”.
When asked about the ‘ Opon imo among other initiatives of the immediate past government in the state, Adewopo swiftly said ” All are fraud and avenue to cart away money to Lagos to their godfather”.
The PDP governorship aspirant however refused to absorb the sitting governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola from the rots of the last administration but enjoined him to face governance even amidst the resultant effect of his predecessor alleged misrule.
” Although, I am not absorbing him from the rots of the previous administration because he was then the chief of staff but I will just enjoin him to face governance and ignore politics for now”.
When asked on the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, Adewopo stressed that Nigeria has never had it this bad in Security noting that the APC got to government through pure propaganda.
He also described the present administration as an audio government who only speak but never executive their promises.
” Recently a report said Nigeria is sinking, we have never had it this bad especially in security, this government came through propaganda , now they are in power, what have they done ? Nigeria has now become the poverty capital of the world.”
He however advised the President to immediately overhaul the entire security apparatus of the nation to save Nigeria from getting sunk.
” My advise is that the President should immediately overhaul the entire security apparatus in the country, support the agric sector and build more hospitals. We can all see that we don’t have enough hospitals and it is key for all of us”.
