The Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) has slammed a Fuji star, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1 and K1 with some conditions to cease fire .
FIBAN has threatened a showdown with the Mayegun of Yorubaland, for allegedly attacking one of his members ,a popular broadcaster and compere, Wole Shorunke, also known MC Murphy.
The National President of FIBAN, Desmond Nwachukwu had earlier held a press conference over the alleged assault and threatened legal means against the Fuji star .
The Fuji Star a d his boys were reported to have pounced on MC Murphy during the 60th birthday party of the Olu of Itori, Oba Fatai Akamo held in Itori ,Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun state on Thursday,October 1, 2020.
Ayinde was said to have lost his temper after MC Murphy walked out from his stage following his alleged snubbing when he took his clinwt to him for eulogy.
While FIBAN was preparing to take a protest to the palace of the Alafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi to press home its demands to strip Ayinde of the Mayegun Yorubaland tittle , a report was being circulated that the matter has been resolved .
Reacting to the claim that the matter has been resolved , National president of FIBAN in a statement on Monday denied the claim .
Nwachukwu in the statement tittled
“RE: K1 VIRSUS FIBAN” said the process of resolution has been activated with some conditions placing before the embattled Fuji star .
The statement read “I sincerely appreciate the interventions of so many highly placed personalities in the face off between our association, Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) and King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal.
“I want to put it on record that we have activated the process of resolution. We have presented our conditions to the other party and we are hopeful that the conditions will be met in no distance time.
“I will personally make public declaration on the matter as events unfold. May I state, one more time, that this struggle is all about the sanctity of our industry and we will not compromise.
“As at this moment, the struggle continues. By this statement, we wish to disassociate ourselves from any contrary information. “
