#ENDSARS# : Popular Nollywood actors Odunlade , Mr latin, others lead protest in Abeokuta

Popular Nollywood actors Odunlade Adekola and Bolaji Amusan popularly called Mr latin and a fuji musician Sefiu Alao joined the youths of the state on Tuesday to protest against police brutality .

Nollywood actors ,Odulade Adekola and Bolaji Amusan otherwise known as Mr Latin and a popular Fuji Musician, Sefiu Alao led a peaceful protest against police brutality .

Odunlade, Amusan and Alao led some youths in a protest on Tuesday which they tagged #ENDSARS#, calling on the government to ensure the entire police institution is reformed .

The top celebrities in the entertainment industry took off from Panseke area of Abeokuta and walked through to the Secretariat of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun state council ,where they addressed the journalists .

The protesters were armed with placards with various inscriptions such as ” FG must end police brutality now, Looking good is not a crime, iPhone is not a gun, Don’t kill me because I am looking good among others.

Addressing journalists during the protest, Amusan who is the National President of Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria, said it was high time the government took decisive actions that could straighten Nigeria Police.

He said “after EndSARS protest, what next? It’s time for the federal government to begin wholistic reforms in the police.

“The police must stop this brutality against fellow Nigerians. We are saying no to all forms of intimidations, illegal arrest and extra judicial killing.”

While explaining what the group meant by the reform , Amusan urged the government to take good care of policemen in the country .

He said “Let the federal government give the police good salaries, they shouldn’t be the one buying their uniforms themselves, let the government give the police conducive working environment so that all these challenges will not be influencing the way they behave. Police brutality must end now”.

In his remarks , Adekola said enough is enough to police brutality ,saying the federal government must end police brutality .

According to him ,It is not good for us neither is it good for the image of the country.

“It is time for the police to respect the constitution and perform their duties in such a way that the rule of law is respected.

” Life is sacrosanct and must be dignified at all times, so, the FG must end police brutality now”

Alao in his remarks ,said the essence of the protest was to beg the governemt to stop harassment by policemen

He said “We are here to talk to the federal government to end police brutality .”

Other speakers during the protest included , popular Radio presenter, Akinyemi Olatoye fondly called Alawiye Federation.
