The chairman of Park Management Services Limited in Ogun State, Alhaji Akeem Bodunrin popularly known as Iyeru on Friday maintained that he remained in charge of ticketing during the National Union of Road Transport Union (NURTW) week in Ogun State.
Addressing newsmen in his office in Abeokuta on Friday, Iyeru debunked rumour making the rounds that he has lost his position as the state ticketing agent during the NURTW week in Ogun State.
“The news making the rounds that i am no longer in charge of ticketing during NURTW week in Ogun state is not true. The Ogun state government have made this known on several occasions through the commisioner for Transportation, Mr. Gbenga Dairo that NURTW remain proscribed in the state.
“As you can see, we just finished our weekly stakeholders meeting. There is no crisis in any of our parks in Ogun State. We are fully focused. I am using this medium to inform unsuspecting members of the public that I am the state ticketing agents apointed by Gov. Abiodun-led administration.
“On the issue of who occupies our former Secretariat, I do not think we should pay attention to a trivia matter like that. The question we should be asking ourselves is “Who is in charge of ticketing during NURTW week in Ogun state?” My utmost priority is to deliver on the assignment given to me by our performing governor, Gov. Dapo Abiodun,” he said.
He therefore urged members of the union to carry on with their normal routine.
