The Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has refuted claims that some Governors deliberately hoarded Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) Palliatives which were looted by hoodlums during the hijacked #ENDSARS protests.
Akeredolu who doubles as the Chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum said the distribution of palliatives to the people was delayed because CACOVID insisted that a flag-off ceremony be held before the distribution.
The Governor disclosed this at the Church Service marking 3rd Year of Rt Revd. Dr.Stephen Fagbemi as the Bishop of Owo Diocese Anglican Communion at the All Saints Church Idasen Owo.
He said that Ondo State was saved from the looting spree due to the continuous distribution of the palliatives to people of the state.
The governor added that states where palliatives were warehoused were also waiting for the donation of the remaining items and flag-off by the CA-COVID team.
While congratulating the Bishop, Akeredolu on his re-election, assured the people of the state of a good stay in office.
