Truck Owners and Drivers in Ogun State have lamented that bad roads remain a major challenge facing them while plying the roads in the state.
They said roads to all quarries in the state are not in good order
The truck Owners said they are also faced by multiple ticketing from various officials, lack of road signs at construction sites and lack of parks for trucks.
They spoke at the last monthly meeting of Truck Owners and Drivers for 2020 on Tuesday in Abeokuta.
The meeting was set aside as awareness for ember months safety.
The spokesperson of the association, Gbenga Animashaun said all pleas to the government fell on deaf ears.
He said “our challenges are enormous, but the greatest of them is bad roads. Road to virtually all our quarries are not in good order, even roads across the state are in bad shape and the roads under constriction, warning signs are not well placed.
“We are also faced with multiple ticketing from government officials. Let me also mention that there in no single trucks park in Ogun State. The only one we are managing is in Muda Lawal Stadium.
” We have appealed to the government but nothing is done. We will keep on appealing ”
