A chieftain of the Ogun State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Bola Odumosu has disowned a report purportedly recommending the suspension of three members of the State Executive Committee and State Working Committee.
Odumosu, who was named as the Chairman of the purported disciplinary committee set up by the former Chairman of PDP in Ogun State, Mr. Kayode Bamgbose, said at no time did his committee meet or recommend the suspension of the State Acting Chairman, Barr. Boladale Sanni; the State Secretary, Prince Adeleke Shittu and the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Oyejide Sunkanmi.
Hon. Odumosu made the disclosure in a statement he signed electronically and posted on various WhatsApp platforms on Tuesday.
According to Odumosu, there was never a time his committee met or recommended any member of the party for suspension.
Rather, he called for genuine reconciliation in the party.
The statement reads: “In reaction to the above information, I want to categorically state that the disciplinary committee under my Chairmanship has never recommended any suspension against any member of the state executive committee of our great party, PDP. All we are preaching is reconciliation between all the factions of our Party for the benefit of all,” Odumosu said.
