The management of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State has told students of the institution to stay away from the University campuses.
This is coming few hours after the Federal government assented to the 18th January resumption date for schools.
In a memo signed from the Registrar signed by Femi Ogunwomoju, students were urged to continue with online lectures.
“I am to inform you that due to the spike in Covid-19 infections in the country and for the safety of all, students are to continue to stay away from the University campuses until further notice”
He added that the “Online lectures which commenced on the 4th January, 2021 will continue unhindered and students are advised to continue to attend their lectures online accordingly”
“I implore all students to attend their lectures online and await further instructions from the University management,” the memo read.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology has directed all state owned schools to resume on Monday, January 18, 2021.
