The 2019 All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Benue State, Barr Emmanuel Jime has asked Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State to learn the art of governance from Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, and how to develop a state.
Similarly, a member of House of Representatives, representing Vandeikya/ Konshisha Federal Constituency, Barr Herman Iorwase Hembe equally wondered why Benue State is put on a reversed gear.
The duo spoke in Lafia during the decamping ceremony of a PDP chieftain and former member of the House of Representatives, representing Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency, Dr Joseph Haruna Kigbu into the APC.
The two APC chieftains said the developmental strides going on in Nasarawa State under the Abdullahi Sule administration in terms of roads construction and other infrastructural projects in all the sectors of the state economy including prompt payment of salaries, pension and gratuities to retirees, is unprecedented.
According to Jime: ” the APC government of Nasarawa State is a shining example, Nasarawa State is showing the whole of the North Central states how to govern and develop a state.
“I feel that the whole of North Central governors have a reason to come here in Lafia to see what is happening in this state. Maybe some of them will learn a lesson or two on how to develop a state.
“In particular, I will like to recommend my own very state that something is happening in Nasarawa State and Benue State must hurry up, come very quickly and find out from Abdullahi Sule what magic he is using to work in Nasarawa State, so that he can also use for the development of Benue state.”
Hembe who equally delivered a goodwill message at the occasion wondered whether the IGR or Federal Allocation of Nasarawa State is more than that of Benue State.
Hembe who is a fourth term member of the House of Representatives said: “I drive through Nasarawa State every weekend to Benue State, I see development going on in all the nook and crannies of Nasarawa State.
