The Ijeja Traditional Council has disclosed that it has withdrawn its recognition and Certificate of Aremu Bamgboye as the Olori Aje of Ijeja Township.
In a letter addressed signed by the Odofin of Ijeja, and Secretary/Ekerin Ijeja, Chief Olawale Sodipo said the removal became necessary following Bamgboye’s refusal to perform his function as the Parakoyi of Ijeja township.
The letter which copied Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo dated 26 March, 2021, directed Bamgboye to hand over instruments of his office as Olori Aje to the Oluwo of Ijeja, Chief Mukaila Akinwande on or before April 2nd, 2021.
The letter also directed Bamgboye to stop parading himself as the Olori Aje of Ijeja Township.
