The Osile of Oke-Ona Egba, Oba Adewale Tejuoso will on Monday begin the celebration of his 32nd coronation anniversary with 32 hours marathon praise and worship.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the 32 marathon praise and worship is part of other activities line up for the celebration of the 32nd coronation of the first class monarch.
The Chairman of the coronation anniversary planning committee, Alh. M.A Kazeem in a press conference disclosed that, the 32 hours marathon praise will be held at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library from 9am on Monday till 6pm on Tuesday.
Kazeem explained that the praise and worship is to give thanks to Almighty God for keeping the monarch alive to witness 32 years in the throne.
The coronation anniversary chairman however noted that, there will be a break on Wednesday, while other activities will continue on Thursday.
He noted that traditional activities, paying homage to the monarch, blessing by the monarch are part of other activities line up for Thursday.
Alh. Kazeem further explained that there will be a special service both by the Muslim and Christians at the Osile’s Palace in Sapon area of Abeokuta, the state capital.
He also said two or three notable sons and daughters of the Oke-Ona will be honoured with a chieftaincy title for thier contributions to the development of the communities.
Meanwhile, Oba Tejuosho has attributed the insecurity challenges facing the country to anger from God.
The first class Oba lamented that Nigerians have refused to follow the guidance of their creator,hence, the challenges facing the country .
He however called on Nigerians to engage in serious prayers so as to save the country from total doom.
He added, “We have annoyed God to a great extent not caring about us because we have gone astray but if we could try and get back to God things will be better.
“The way things are going it is only God that can help us . It is one of the reasons we are running out programme the way we are running it . We are starting a 32 marathon prayer to God .”
