The kidnappers of the popular telephone and accessories dealer, Lukman Ibrahim who was kidnapped by gunmen on Saturday in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State regained his freedom after the payment of two million naira ransom .
A family source who was part of the negotiation said Ibrahim who lost his Pregnant wife, Hawawu during the incident was released from the hook after the family provided the ransom money and other items such as 24 bottles of Multina drink ,24 tins of carton of milk, a pack each of Benson and Hedges and St Moritz cigarettes.
Ibrahim was released by his abductors on Wednesday after the payment of the N2m ransom.
The source said “after agreeing to collect the N2m, the kidnappers requested for one carton of Multina drink (24 bottles), another carton of milk (24 tins), a pack each of Benson and Hedges and St Moritz cigarettes, with a stern warning that the security agencies must never be involved.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kwara State Command, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the release of the victim.
