The Balogun of Ilupeju-Okeodo Gbagura, Chief Ayobami Ganiyu Biobaku has charged political office holders to embark on meaningful and developmental projects, which they will be remembered for even after leaving office.
Biobaku advised politicians to emulate the late monarch of Ilupeju Okeodo Gbadura, Oba Mufutau Adisa Akindele, Yaluko the first who died exactly one year ago, 5th July 2020 but is still being remembered till today for his giant strides in the community.
At a programme organised yesterday in the community to mark the first anniversary of the death of the late Oba Akindele, Biobaku noted that politicians were not voted into power to embezzle public funds but to impact meaningfully on the lives of the citizens by touching their lives positively and coming up with better ideas and brilliant programmes just like the late Oba Akindele did while on the throne.
On behalf of the chiefs and dwellers of Ilupeju Okeodo Gbagura, Chief Biobaku further prayed that may Allah continue to grant the late monarch eternal rest.
