No fewer than 12 new cases of Covid-19 were reportedly recorded in Ogun State on Sunday .
PLATFORM.TIMES gathered from the statistics obtained from the Ministry of Health in the state that 57 persons have died of COVID-19 in the state so far .
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker disclosed this on Monday .
Coker said a total of 4,793 Covid-19 cases with 4,668 discharged and 57 deaths.
In the breakdown , Coker said nine of the new cases were discovered in Abeokuta.
She called on residents to adhere strictly to non-pharmacological measures.
The statement indicated that two of the 12 new cases are currently on admission at the isolation center while others are on home management.
Coker in the statement said that the reality of the Third Wave of the pandemic has dawned on the entire globe, including Nigeria at large, pointing out that the need to take necessary precautions should not be taken for granted.
