Despite weeks of protests and outcry by poor commercial motorcyclists over the hike in the price of tickets, the union leaders are set to sponsor the burial ceremony of the Ogun state governor’s father ,Pa Emmanuel Abiodun .
The state governor, Dapo Abiodun lost his father a month ago in a London hospital .
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the transport union leaders such as Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle owners and Riders Association of Nigeria, Association of Motorcycle Riders Association of Nigeria and Riders of Motorcycle among others have put up a party for the burial ceremony of the governor’s father .
The unions under the aegis of the Coalition of Transport Unions in Ogun State have sent out invites .
PLATFORM TIMES obtained an invite read “the Coalition of Transport Unions in Ogun State have sent out invites invites you all to the Final Burial Ceremony of the father of the State Governor,Late Dr. Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun which comes up as follows:

Venue: Solomon Gbadebo School Ground,Ogere Road,Iperu.
Time: 10:00am

Some commercial motorcyclists operating in the state have lamented various charges slammed on them which include daily ticket , N800, Jacket N1,500, three Stickers for N2,000 each among others .
While the union leaders live as kings, those who work for the money live like poor .
