The Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, Prof. Adewale Musa-Olomu has appealed to the management staff of the centre to spare him of booby traps as he assumes office for the second term .
Musa-Olomu said this on Thursday during a grand reception organised for him by the health unions at the centre.
The workers who assembled at the telemedicine International conference center within the premises of the hospital, danced round the premises and outside the centre to rejoice with the reappointment of Musa-Olomu .
The CMD had a long running battled with the management members over various allegation while struggling for second term in office .
Addressing the workers ,Musa-Olomu who was flanked by Head of Clinical Services ,Fidelis Ojeblenu and Director of Administration ,Adeyemi Vaughan appealed for calm .
He said he had forgiven all the people that orchestrated the allegations and attacks on his personality during the struggle for second term .
He said the internal crisis had denied the centre some appointments from the federal ministry of health, calling for team work .
He said “it’s not by trying to setting traps to imprison ourselves, to cause trouble as if we can not solve the problems.
” Even the God that created us, in the holy Bible, says forgive us our sins as we forgive those who trespass against us. God does not say that go to heaven and do not commit sin.”
He however promised to do better than he did during the first term ,saying, efforts are on top gear to make the proposed University of medicine in Abeokita ,beat in the country.
He said he used the first term to reposition the hospital and was ready to complete the transformation he started .
