Barely forty-eight hours after gunmen abducted three workers of the former President Olusegun Obasanjo, they have regained their freedom .
PLATFORM TIMES had reported that the workers ; Financial controller , group Auditor and group store manager of Obasanjo holdings were kidnapped on Wednesday evening .
They were abducted by gunmen that waylaid them on the Kobape road in the Obafemi-Owode local government area of the state .
They were abducted around 4:pm on Wednesday at Seseri village after their Hilux car was reportedy shot at by the gunmen and took them away .
PLATFORM TIMES exclusively gathered that the victims got their freedom without paying any ransom .
When contacted the Police Public Relations Officer in the state ,DSP, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident .
Oyeyemi said they were released following the pressures mounted on their abductors .
Oyeyemi said the Anti-Kidnapping and SWAT operatives had been in the bush since the incident happened mounting serious pressures on them .
He said “Yes. we mounted a lot of pressures on the kidnappers.
” Since yesterday, (Thursday) our anti-kidnappIing and SWAT operatives have been in the bush searching for them .
“They were able to trace them to the bush behind Day Waterman college . They have been there since yesterday .
“This evenning, they released them unhurt without any ransom.”
When asked whether there was any arrest , the PPRO said “not yet . We are very sure that we will make arrest.”
