She lamented that Ogun State being a gateway state and sharing a lot of borders with states in the country has made it a dumping ground for drugs in the State.
He said this has made fighting drug abuse challenging in the State.
She said “We arrested 21 persons during our operations . 18 males and three females .
” Ogun State shares borders with other countries, it is also a challenge but with improved logistics we can intensify our activities in those border areas.
“When you have a State with the highest population of students in secondary schools and tertiary institutions, you are bound to have a lot of drug users.
“Being a place that many passengers have to pass through, you know when it comes to the issue of drug it has to do with timing, if you don’t act fast on anything concerning drug you will miss it.
“We need more logistics, we need more cooperation from members of the public, the issue of drug is not for the government alone, if the Community realizes that drug is a problem the Community will not allow the people selling it, the Landlord will tell you that I have to report this person because he is selling drugs in my place”.
