The Coalition of Shiroro Associations has raised the alarm that the fleeing bandit have converged on the Shiroro some villages in Shiroro local government area of Niger state.
PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the bandits who have been chased away from the Zamfara forests and other neighbouring states have been assembling in Shiroro in Niger state .
A statement by the spokesperson of the Coalition, Salis Sabo said “there is influx of large number of terrorists in some villages of Shiroro local government of Niger state.
“The terrorists are trooping into some villages on motorcycles with masked faces. They are believed to have flown in to the local government from Zamfara or other adjoining troubled states,” the statement reads.
The group, which gave the name of the villages as Galadiman Kogo, Zama, Magami, Maganda, Palali, Iburo, Chukuba and Dnasapa said, “the situation has caused fear and apprehension among the people of those areas.”
The Coalition called on the state and federal governments to ensure “coordinated military operation across the states so that Shiroro villages do not become haven for the bandits.
