The wife of the Governor , Mrs Bamidele Abiodun has urged the people of the state to make peace a culture of life towards ensuring sustainable humanity.
Abiodun said this in commemoration of the International Peace Day held at the organised by Center For Grass Roots Education Healthcare and Empowerment held at the Valley view auditorium Isale Igbein, Abeokuta.
Represented by Mrs Stella Adeyanju, Mrs Abiodun urged Nigerians to pursue peace with fellow men, live in Unity and be their brothers keeper.
On his part ,the chairman of the occasion , Elder Sola Adeyemi said pursuing peace is a collective effort beginning from the individual,the homes and the community .
Earlier in his Welcome Address the Chairman Governing Board, Center for Grassroots Education Healthcare and Empowerment , Professor Christopher Onwuka maintained that peaceful co-existence and strong institution are key elements of the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations which all Nations must pursue vigorously.
In their seperate contributions ,the Civil Society leaders including Mr Yinka Folarin ,Adesina Adesegun and Professor Comfort Onifade called on all citizens to explore conflict resolution mechanism in settling dispute and develop capacity to live in peace with one another.
