The biggest social media platforms in the world have returned to normal seven hours after it gone down globally.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook experienced a major outage around the world from 4:39 pm to 11 pm on Monday.
The three apps – which are all owned by Mark Zuckerberg.
Visitors to the WhatsApp web are experiencing 5xx Server Error while others app run by the company were all down together.
On their verified WhatsApp’s twitter account, the company said it is aware of the issue, saying the tech company is working to get things back up and running.
“We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!”
PLATFORM TIMES however observed that the social media platforms are now back to normal.
